Janet Cairns continues in her role as the President for the 2025/26 season. As one of the founding members of the girls’ DA program, Janet has over 20 years of experience with the OVA serving as a coach, various positions on the DA club executive, and as a member of the OVA Board of Directors Her passion for athlete growth and success is the basis for the work she does! Janet is an avid sports fan and takes great pride in watching DA teams play and develop. As the President, Janet oversees all functions of the club and works to support the other executive members, coaches, athletes, and parents in every way possible.
Janet has been recognized for her volunteerism as a recipient of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and has been inducted into the OVA Hall of Fame as a builder.
Stephanie Wares
President of operations

Stephanie Wares returns for another term as the Vice President of Operations. Stephanie has been a member of DA for over 10 years as a Head Coach and Assistant Coach. Stephanie is the original coordinator of our Mental Training program and continues to support teams in this area and on the bench when needed. As the VP of Operations, Stephanie has many hats, working to support coaches and athletes with their uniforms and training facilities. Her passion for the club and its athletes is unparalleled and her work ethic is tremendous. When not supporting DA athletes and DDSB students, Stepnanie is a teacher with the DDSB and is in the final stages of completing her Social Work degree.
Lisa Willson

This Year Lisa Willson will be stepping into the role of Treasurer. This is a role Lisa has held in the past and we are excited to have her take this on again. Lisa is known for her enthusiastic support of competitive volleyball. With over 30 years of volunteer experience, Lisa has made significant contributions through fundraising campaigns, scholarships, and golf tournaments. Her previous role as a board member for the Durham Attack Volleyball Club highlights her deep connection to the sport and the community and her unwavering dedication to helping athletes and parents thrive in the sport.
Lisa will continue to be available to support families with their Durham Attack journey.
Erin Labrecque

Erin Labrecque is the new Durham Attack Secretary. Erin is a dedicated DA mother having been with the club for five years supporting her two daughters. In that time, Erin has volunteered as a Parent Rep. working hard to uphold the club vision while supporting the coaches, athletes and families. Last year, Erin also took the lead role in organizing accommodations for the Cleveland tournament, demonstrating her willingness to support the club in any capacity. Erin loves sports, especially watching the athletes learn, develop, and grow with the support of their coaches. If she is not operating the video for her girls on the volleyball court, she will be sitting in the stands watching her son play baseball.
Lauren Breadner
VP of Junior Programs

Lauren Breadner is returning to Durham Attack as the VP of Junior Programs. As a Durham Attack Alumnus and former varsity volleyball athlete with the Nipissing Lakers, Lauren has a wealth of playing experience which she can share with all members of the Durham Attack community. She also holds her Masters degree in Human Kinetics and has demonstrated her leadership in the realm of sports as the Manager of Intercollegiate Sport at Nipissing, supporting both coaches and student athletes. Her understanding of the scope of youth volleyball is expansive as Lauren has over five years of experience with the OVA managing Team Ontario’s high -performance programs and is currently the Manager of Sport with Ontario University Athletics (OUA), overseeing key areas of university sport operations and development.
Lindsey Stedman-Smith

Lindsey Stedman-Smith will be assuming the role of VP Senior programs for the 25-26 season. Lindsey is the mom of two amazing daughters, one who has been a proud member of Durham Attack for the past three years. Her desire to give back prompted her to volunteer to give more to the club. As a former Parent Rep. Lindsey is acutely aware of the demands of this role and is excited for this new challenge. Lindsey loves the outdoors: camping, hiking and staying active. In her professional life, Lindsey is a realtor and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills.
Stacy Carli
Director of Recreational Programs

Stacy Carli continues her work with the DA Executive this season in the role of Director of Recreational Programs. . Stacy has held many roles with DA, beginning her career as a Parent Rep., transitioning to the Treasurer, the Secretary role and now this new Director role for the organization. Stacy will oversee Learn to Play, House League and camp programs, supporting athletes as they begin their journey with DA and transition to the competitive programs.. She is incredibly organized and detail-driven and has been an excellent resource and support for many members of the Executive. Stacy will continue as a DA coach, working with the 15U Crimson team.
